The line was opened for traffic on 4 October 1880 by the british Governor, Sir James Longden, And it 28.2 km long. Steel bridge situated at the conner of “colombo street kandy” to cross over the railway track.
And the bridge was completely made by steel. and still it as the same. It was actually one of a hidden value in #kandy #srilanka. But unfortunately most of tourist who follows only the #google or #tripadvisor #longlyplanet will missed this ancient value of your kandy visit.
Even this a place that municipal council need to put your attention on it. Because there are some places has cracked it should be renew soon.
